Man held for using fake degree to get counsellor’s job

Bathinda: The Punjab vigilance bureau on Wednesday arrested a counsellor posted at the de-addiction centre in the Barea civil hospital in Mansa district for allegedly getting the job on the basis of a fake degree/certificate.A vigilance bureau spokesperson said action was taken against counsellor Shankar Singh, a resident of Bhunder Bhaini village in the Sangrur district, after probing a complaint.The Mansa civil surgeon got the verification of the degree/certificate of the counsellors and computer operators recruited through outsourcing by a private company in 2023, and it was found that Shankar got the job on the basis of a bogus degree/certificate.A case was registered against Shankar Singh at police station vigilance bureau range Bathinda, and further investigation in this case is in progress.MSID:: 128784357 413 |
