AMBALA: Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, officiating Jathedar of Akal Takht on Sunday participated in a religious congregation held at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Pathanmajra Matheri Shekhan village in Ambala district, where he said that that management of Gurdwaras will remain in hands of Sikhs in accordance with Panthic sentiments.The event was organized by the local Sikh community with the support of the Sikh Mission Haryana of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Teg Bahadar, Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das and Bhai Dyala.Addressing the community gathering, Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj asked the sangat to lead their lives according to the teachings of the Sikh Gurus and the principles of Sikh faith. He said that the divine Gurbani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji provides guidance to humanity in every aspect of life. A true Sikh, he emphasized, does not turn to self-proclaimed godmen or bodily babas but lives under the spiritual shelter of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He inspired the community to remain connected with Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to make their lives spiritually fulfilling.Jathedar Gargajj stated that gurdwaras are the centers of Sikh preaching and their management must remain in the hands of the Khalsa Panth in accordance with Panthic sentiments.
He stressed that Sikhs will never tolerate any interference by governments in gurdwara management or related affairs. He cautioned the congregation to ensure that the management of all gurdwaras continues strictly in line with Sikh principles and sentiments.Addressing the women and mothers present, Jathedar Gargajj made a special appeal to connect their children with Sikh values from birth and to narrate daily stories from Sikh history. He said that every Sikh family in Haryana must ensure their children learn to read and write Gurmukhi Punjabi, enabling them to understand and connect with the sacred Gurbani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He called upon the entire Sikh community to remain united, organized, and dedicated to the authority of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.On this occasion, the local management honored Jathedar Gargajj with a siropa (robe of honor). Among those present were SGPC member Harpal Singh Machhonda, former SGPC member Gurdeep Singh, Balkar Singh Mardon Sahib, Sukhdev Singh Naneola (member, HSGMC), Akali leader Harkesh Singh Mohri, farmer leaders Amarjit Singh Mohri, Baljinder Singh Churiala, prominent personalities and a large gathering of devotees from the region.
