Nightclub spat leads to assault at parking lot

Panchkula: A group of people allegedly assaulted two residents of Punjab’s Sangrur outside a nightclub in Sector 8 on Monday night.
Harinder, a resident of Jakhla village, Sangrur, said he and his two friends Robin Singh, a resident of Sangrur, and Mandeep Singh, a resident of Barnala, had gone to nightclub ‘Almas Club.
Harinder alleged four people started arguing with them and engaged in a scuffle.The club security controlled the situation and things returned to normal, Harinder said
Around 3.30 am, when Harinder and his friends were at the parking lot outside the club, four of the accused called their friends. They were armed the wooden sticks, swords and empty liquor bottles. One of the accused allegedly attacked Harinder with an empty bottle. When Robin tried to help him, the accused hit him with sticks and swords. When the victims shouted for help, the accused fled in different cars. Harinder and Robin were taken to civil hospital, Sector 6, by police called by their friend Mandeep. Police registered a case under different Sections of the IPC.
