Jalandhar: Jalandhar Rural police have issued notices for attachment of property and vehicles worth Rs 40.3 crore belonging to six persons, who had allegedly amassed these with the proceeds from drug peddling, in Rerwan village in Shahkot subdivision.
SSP Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar said these notices had been issued following orders by the competent authority of the central government under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
He said that these notices were issued on the properties and moveable assets of Kulwant Singh, Varinderpal Singh, Sukhpreet Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Dilbag Singh and Swaran Singh, who had procured these from the drug trade. The notices of attachment have been pasted on a farm house worth Rs 50 lakh, a residential house worth Rs 2 crore, agricultural land measuring 32 acres worth Rs 4 crore and vehicles. TNN
