‘Sawar road to be revamped at a cost of 2.8cr’

Mohali: Development in Mohali received a major boost on Wednesday as MLA Kulwant Singh inaugurated the renovation work of the Sawara–Saidpur–Gidarpur–Chandiala road, fulfilling a long-pending demand of the residents. Sharing details of the project, the MLA said a total amount of Rs 2.92 crore would be spent on the work. Of this, Rs 2.75 crore has been earmarked for road construction, while Rs 17 lakh has been allocated for its maintenance over a period of five years. He added that the road was earlier constructed in 2017 and awaited major repairs. tnn
