Dushyant Singh Chautala has adopted village Makhand of Uchana assembly constituency as part of Centre's 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana' project launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

CHANDIGARH: The youngest member of 16th Lok Sabha, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) MP from Hisar, Dushyant Singh Chautala, has adopted village Makhand of Uchana assembly constituency as part of Centre's 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana' project launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The scheme aims to empower villagers and provide them with opportunities to exercise their choices.

While talking about the adoption the village, Chautala said that a proposal to develop the village as per the central scheme has been sent to Union ministry of rural development through the district administration.
Village Makhand comes under the Uchana assembly seat from where Dushyant has recently contested state assembly polls but remained unsuccessful. He lost to Congress-turned BJP leader Birender Singh's wife Prem Lata Singh.
Dushyant said that though the village Makhand comes under Uchana from where Birender Singh remained MLA for five times and also MP twice but the villages of the constituency are still facing basic problems.
He said that with the population of around 4,100 persons, Makhand is most backward among all other villages of Uchana in terms of developments.
The MP also stated that other villages of his constituency would also be developed through the grant from MP fund.
