Award-winning Japanese films to be screened at Chennai-Japan film fest

CHENNAI: A three-day Chennai-Japan film festival featuring 'Women in modern Japan' will be held at RKV Studio's Red Carpet Preview Theatre in Vadapalani here from October 21 to 23.
Organised by the consulate-general of Japan in Chennai and the Indo-Cine Appreciation Foundation, this is the first time a Chennai-Japan film festival is going to focus on the women in modern Japan.
Award-winning films like 'Au revoir l' 'ete, (directed by Fukada Koji), ''Seventh Code' (Kurosawa Kiyoshi), 'Round trip heart' (Tanada Yuki), 'My Little Sweet Pea' (Yoshida Keisuke) and 'Sue, Mai & Sawa: Righting the girl ship' (Minorikawa Osamu) will be screened.
Consul-general of Japan Seiji Baba will inaugurate the festival at 6pm on Friday. Entry is free.
