Paddlers Shamini, Prabhakaran emerge champions

CHENNAI: K Shaimini beat S Selena Deepthi 4-0 while E Prabhakaran (SRSA) edged past S Nikhil 4-3 to lift the IOC-Tamil Nadu State Table Tennis Championship in the women’s and men’s respectively in Chennai on Friday. In the junior boys’ section S Preyesh beat G Varun 4-1 and in the girls’ category M Nithyashree defeated N Aashika 4-0 to win the crown.
