Dhinakaran said there were media reports that his party had supported TVK. He alleged that there could be a forged letter purportedly supporting TVK. “I was shocked. So I got an appointment with governor and submitted a complaint requesting him to investigate,’’ he said. “This could be a mockery of democracy. This could be horse trading” Dhinakaran said. AMMK’s S Kamaraj, who contested on the AMMK’s Cooker symbol, defeated both the DMK and TVK candidates in Mannargudi constituency.
Dhinakaran said he was in NDA and was supporting AIADMK. “I have submitted a letter to the governor in support of Edappadi K Palaniswami to form the govt,’’ he said.
About two hours later, Dhinakaran visited the governor’s office again where Kamaraj also joined him. Dhinakaran told reporters that Kamaraj got scared after a forged letter was circulated that he has supported TVK. “Hence he did not pick our calls,” he said. Kamaraj submitted a letter to the governor that he did not support TVK.
