Graduation ceremony held at Coimbatore Government College of Education for Women
Coimbatore: The 66th graduation ceremony of the Coimbatore Government College of Education for Women was held on Friday.
Coimbatore Regional College joint director N Shenbagalakshmi, who was the chief guest, presented degrees to the graduating students. More than 80 students were awarded BEd degrees while 15 students received MEd degrees at the ceremony.
In her address, Shenbagalakshmi underlined the role of education in women’s lives, calling it indispensable and a key tool that shapes women, their families and future generations of students.
“A teacher, a book and a pen can transform society. Social progress follows when teachers excel in their profession,” she said.
