Two men die as car collides with truck near Salem
SALEM: Two people died and three others suffered injuries when a car collided with a truck at Thethigiripatty in Salem district on Tuesday.The deceased have been identified as K Senthil, 50, and V Naveen, 23 of Kudhiraikaranur. The accident occurred when the duo and three others were returning to Kudhiraikaranur after visiting a temple. Senthil and Naveen died on the spot while Paramasivam, 55, his wife Rajeswari, 50, and their relative Santhanam, 40, suffered injuries. They were rushed to a private hospital in Salem.The Mecheri police recovered the bodies and sent them to Omalur Government Hospital for postmortem.Police registered a case and arrested the truck driver.
