2 dead in head-on collision of bikes at Mahuadabra road

RUDRAPUR: Two persons were killed and one was injured in a head-on collision of two bikes on Wednesday morning at Mahuadabra road of Jaspur town in Udham Singh Nagar district.
The deceased were identified as Aaqib Ali, 24, a resident of mohalla Patti Chauhan and Kamaljeet, 18, a resident of Abhay Rajpur in Bijnor of Uttar Pradesh.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on NH 74 at 11 am when the two motorbikes traveling in opposite directions collided with each other.The impact was such that both riders were thrown from their bikes, and they died on the spot.
Meanwhile, the injured pillion rider on Kamaljeet's bike, Abhishek Singh, is undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.
The police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.
