I-T sleuths to quiz key accused in Rs 1 crore loot case

DEHRADUN: Widening the probe into the alleged loot of Rs 1 crore case involving policemen and a businessman, income tax (I-T) officials have decided to quiz the main suspect Anupam Sharma who secured bail from a city court on Tuesday.
The case is being probed by the I-T’s investigation wing which has already questioned the case’s complainant Anirudh Panwar.Sharma is likely to be called to join investigation next week.
Confirming the development, principal director (I-T investigations), Amrendra Kumar said, “It is a serious case because policemen have used the model code of conduct for making a seizure of cash from a businessman using the official car of an IG-rank officer.”
