Heading to Honey Singh concert? Check Delhi Traffic Police traffic advisory
NEW DELHI: Delhi Traffic Police has announced traffic restrictions around the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium near the Raj Ghat on Saturday in view of Honey Singh's concert, officials said on Friday.According to an advisory issued by the Delhi Traffic Police, traffic congestion is expected between 2 pm and 10 pm due to the arrival of spectators for a concert scheduled at the stadium from 4 pm to 11 pm.The roads likely to witness heavy traffic include IP Marg (MGM Road), Vikas Marg, and the Ring Road stretch between Rajghat and IP Depot.

The advisory also stated that traffic diversions and restrictions will be implemented on IP Marg and Vikas Marg. Additionally, heavy vehicles will not be allowed on the stretch between Rajghat and IP Marg during the specified period.Parking will not be allowed on Ring Road between Rajghat and the IP Flyover on both carriageways, according to the advisory. Vehicles found parked along the roadside will be towed away and action will be taken as per the law.

Police said entry arrangements for spectators have been planned through multiple gates of the stadium. Entry to Gates 7 and 8 on Velodrome Road will be allowed via Velodrome Road, while Gates 21 and 22, as well as Gates 16 and 18 on Ring Road, will have access from MGM Road.The advisory further stated that limited parking will be available near the stadium only for vehicles displaying valid parking labels on their windscreens. Vehicles without authorised parking labels will not be permitted near the venue. (Witha agency inputs)
