17-year-old Surya Pratap Chauhan was stabbed during a confrontation in Khoda Colony on Thursday. He was taken to hospital but succumbed to his injuries on Friday.

Police said the prime accused, Asad, was shot during an exchange of fire in Khoda on Sunday. He was taken to hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Asad was planning to meet associates and collect money before fleeing. Police teams then set up checkpoints and launched a search operation.

After the encounter, Surya's family demanded action against everyone involved. His mother said she wanted all those responsible for her son's death to face strict punishment.

According to Surya's elder brother, the accused allegedly argued with the teenager before stabbing him multiple times in the abdomen near Sharma Dairy in Khoda Colony.

A friend told police that Surya had visited the accused's locality after a Bakrid-related invitation. An exchange of words allegedly escalated into a confrontation and later violence.

Police said preliminary findings suggested the accused and victim knew each other. Investigators are examining whether a dispute linked to riding a motorcycle triggered the clash.
