PANAJI: With demands for Muslim representation not finding any favourable answer from the Congress yet, the Goa Muslim Forum on Saturday demanded that the party should allot the Mormugao ticket to a Muslim candidate.
"We had demanded four tickets. As our demand has not been heard, the Goa Muslim Forum wants the Congress to give at least the Mormugao ticket to a Muslim candidate-councillor
Saifullah Khan," said forum member Shaikh Abdul Kader.
"If our demand is not met, we will field Muslim candidates in seven constituencies," he added.
