Bengaluru ad company partner jumps 13 floors to death at Gurgaon hotel
A 54-year-old Bengaluru man, Anand Subbarao, died by suicide after jumping from the 13th floor of a Gurgaon hotel early Wednesday
GURGAON: A 54-year-old man died by suicide after jumping from the 13th floor of Citadines Paras Square hotel in Sector 63 around 4am on Wednesday.The victim, Anand Subbarao, was from Bengaluru and was currently residing on Sohna Road in Sector 49. He was a partner in a private advertising and brand company, And And Brand Partners.Police said he checked into the hotel on Tuesday. A suicide note was found at the spot. “He was residing alone in Gurgaon. In his suicide note, he cited personal reasons and did not accuse anyone, attributing the death to mental distress,” a police officer said.The hotel staff alerted the police control room, following which cops from Sector 65 police station and a forensic team, along with other investigation units, reached the spot. The body was sent to the local mortuary.Police said they have not yet contacted Subbarao’s immediate family and are working to trace details, though they have spoken to a cousin. “The autopsy will be conducted after the arrival of his family and post his formal identification. Inquest proceedings will begin after a formal complaint is received,” an officer said.CCTV footage from the hotel has been examined and police said no suspicious circumstances were found, adding that it was confirmed that he jumped and was not pushed.
