GRREATER NOIDA: Seven members of a gang were arrested on Thursday for allegedly stealing bathroom fittings worth Rs 1.15 crore from a manufacturing unit in Greater Noida’s Sector 63 on March 3.
The accused allegedly entered the factory premises during the night and loaded bathroom fittings weighing around 17 tonnes into their truck before fleeing. All the stolen goods were recovered on Thursday when the accused were caught allegedly on their way to sell the stolen goods.
An FIR was registered on the complaint of the factory owner, Deepak Bansal, on March 4 at the Phase 3 police station. “The accused were intercepted on the road stretch going towards Delhi where they were allegedly going to sell the goods. They were all booked under Sections 380, 411 and 457 for theft of the IPC,” said Vaibhav Krishna, SSP.
