A day after the Sushant Lok station house officer (SHO) allegedly assaulted a man at a Saraswati Kunj guesthouse, the Gurgaon police commissioner on Friday ordered a departmental inquiry into the matter. The accused cop has, meanwhile, been transferred to police lines.

GURGAON: A day after the Sushant Lok station house officer (SHO) allegedly assaulted a man at a Saraswati Kunj guesthouse, the Gurgaon police commissioner on Friday ordered a departmental inquiry into the matter. The accused cop has, meanwhile, been transferred to police lines.
According to the complainant, Inspector Anirudh Chauhan was celebrating his appointment as SHO with a friend at the Oyster Paradise guesthouse in Saraswati Kunj.

After consuming liquor till 3 am, the duo allegedly went on a rampage and assaulted a guest and warned the staff there not to report the matter.
The accused cop was in plain clothes at the time of the incident. Even as the CCTV camera footage confirmed the allegations, the SHO pleaded ignorance and said that he knew nothing about the incident.
Police commissioner S S Deswal ordered an enquiry after confirmation from DCP (East) Vikas Arora.
