Sedition case: Bail plea of Kashmiri students rejected in Hubballi

HUBBALLI: The bail petition of the three Kashmiri students facing sedition charge was rejected by the V Additional District and Sessions court on Monday.
After hearing the arguments from both sides on bail petition on Thursday the judge posted for the order on March 9.
On Monday, the judge dismissed the bail petition filed by the accused advocate, public prosecutor Sumitra Anchatageri confirmed this to TOI.

Three Kashmiri students studying at the KLE Institute of Technology – Basti Aashiq Sofi, Talib Majeed and Amir Mohiuddin Wani were arrested by the police after they allegedly shot a video while hailing Pakistan. The case was registered by the Gokul Road police and later it was transferred to Hubballi Rural police.
The second JMFC Court on March 2 had extended judicial custody of the accused till March 13.
