The family of Madanu Sagar Kumar, 30, a resident of Kunoor village, Bhongir, donated his organs to Jeevandan two days after he was declared brain dead at a city hospital.

HYDERABAD: The family of Madanu Sagar Kumar, 30, a resident of Kunoor village, Bhongir, donated his organs to Jeevandan two days after he was declared brain dead at a city hospital. Sources said that Sagar, an employee of Oasis Hospital in the city, met with an accident at 2.30 am on January 13 while he was on his way to his home town to celebrate Sankranthi.

He sustained severe head injuries in the car crash.
He was shifted to Yashoda Hospital, Malakpet, on January 14 for better treatment. However, the neurophysician declared him brain-dead on the same day . The Jeevandan subcommittee allotted his heart, two kidneys and a liver to three different hospitals.
