5-yr-old girl sacrificed for witchcraft

hyderabad: a five-yearold tribal girl was allegedly sacrificed by a witchcraft practitioner in bochuguda village of tiryani mandal in adilabad district. though the incident happened on november 23 it came to light only on monday when some villagers alerted adilabad police. as the village was located in dense forests, police are not venturing into the scene of offence fearing naxalite attack.confirming sacrifice of manjula adilabad sp mahesh bhagawat said police were planning to visit the village and exhume the body very soon. he said villagers, who buried the body in bochuguda precincts,were apprehending criminal case against them and hence turned hostile to police. sp said, body of manjula was found by a villager with her two hands chopped and deep knife injury on the head.
