7-year-old dies as Cong MLA’s convoy collides with 2-wheeler

Mulugu: A seven-year-old girl was killed while her uncle and mother escaped with injuries after their two-wheeler was hit by a vehicle in the convoy of Mulugu MLA Danasari Anasuya near Jeedivagu area of Koyagudem village in Mulugu district on Saturday.
The family, which hails from Gothikoyagudem near Pakavapur, was on their way to drop the kid, Sravanthi, at an anganwadi centre in Pakavapur. Sravanthi, who suffered head injuries, was killed instantly, while her uncle K Arun and mother Vijaya had only minor injuries.
The Congress MLA, who was going to Mallur, took the family to the hospital. The MLA, a former naxalite, later attended Sravanthi’s funeral.
Local police have registered a case.
