Hyd defence firm bags export order worth $11m
Hyderabad: Sigma Advanced Systems, a Hyderabad-based defence manufacturing company, on Friday said it has secured an export order worth $11.4 million (Rs 107 crore) from a North American customer for the supply of 90,000 filled fuses for 155 mm artillery shells.The contract has to be executed over a period of 10 months, with all deliveries scheduled within that period. The company said the order will be fulfilled using its in-house capabilities, with manufacturing to be carried out in India in line with applicable defence export regulations.The order covers Point Detonating M557 filled fuses, a key component used in 155 mm artillery ammunition, one of the most widely deployed artillery calibres globally, with demand rising in recent years amid geopolitical tensions and increased defence preparedness across several regions..
