Supreme Court collegium clears 4 advocates to be elevated as judges of Telangana high court, 1 for Andhra Pradesh HC

The Supreme Court collegium, led by Chief Justice B R Gavai, has approved the elevation of four advocates—Gouse Meera Mohiuddin, Chalapathi Rao Suddala, Vakiti Ramakrishna Reddy, and Gadi Praveen Kumar—to judgeships in the Telangana High Court. Gadi Praveen Kumar currently serves as the deputy solicitor general.

HYDERABAD: The Supreme Court collegium headed by Chief Justice B R Gavai on Thursday cleared the names of four advocates to be elevated as judges of the Telangana high court. These names sent by the high court a year ago were cleared now. The collegium released a note on Thursday saying that it met on July 2 and approved the proposal to elevate them. The four advocates whose names were cleared and sent to the central govt are Gouse Meera Mohiuddin, Chalapathi Rao Suddala, Vakiti Ramakrishna Reddy and Gadi Praveen Kumar. Praveen is currently working as deputy solicitor general at the high court. AP advocate G Tuhin Kumar’s name was cleared for AP high court.These new judges will take charge after notification by the central govt.
