Telangana ACB arrests official for graft in Ranga Reddy district

HYDERABAD: Anti-corruption bureau sleuths trapped the Superintendent of Assistant Director, Survey & Land Records, Ranga Reddy district when he accepted Rs 5,000 bribe from the complainant to do an official favour.
The accused is, B Venkateshwar Reddy, Superintendent, Office of the Assistant Director, Survey & Land Records, Ranga Reddy district.
Based on the complaint lodged by T Venkateshwar Reddy from Khajaguda in Ranga Reddy district, ACB sleuths laid a trap and caught the accused at his office at 12 noon on Thursday.

"The accused official demanded the bribe from the complainant to survey his land, fix boundaries and process the file after receiving it from RDO's office," said an ACB official.
ACB caught the accused after he took Rs 5,000 bribe from the complainant. The bribe amount was recovered from the left pocket of his trousers. Chemical test conducted on the accused has yielded positive result.
