IMPHAL: Manipur recorded three more coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s toll to 197. The victims were residents of the valley Imphal East and Thoubal districts, a state health department statement informed on Sunday.
On the other hand, the state also registered 245 fresh cases during the same time at different government and private laboratories.
With 17,072 Covid-19 patients having been discharged from Covid care centres after recovering from the disease, 358 of them since Saturday night, the recovery rate in the state climbed up to 83.78% and the active cases decreased to 3,107.
With this, the cumulative number of Covid cases in the state stands at 20,376. The newly infected civilians are residents of Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Kakching, Kangpokpi, Churachandpur, Jiribam and Kamjong district, it said, adding that they have no recent travel history.
