This effort includes a specialised police station in Jaipur and outposts across key areas. Drug seizures have surged, prompting the state to prioritize districts near Punjab, Haryana, and Pakistan borders.

Congress plans a tribals' meet in Igatpuri before the state assembly polls, with Maharashtra in-charge Remesh Chennithala expected to address it. The current MLA, Hiraman Khoskar, may not get the party ticket due to alleged cross-voting. Congress has interviewed over 13 candidates, focusing on winnability for the Igatpuri seat.
