Gambling racket busted, six nabbed

Mhow: Naugaon police of Dhar busted a gambling racket operating at a farm in a village near Dhar city with the arrest of six people on Tuesday night. The police seized cash, mobile phones, and bikes during the raid.Naugaon police station in charge Sunil Sharma told TOI that he had received information from a source about a large-scale gambling racket operating at agricultural farm of one Anand Rana on the outskirts of Jaitpura village, about three kilometre from Dhar city. A team was formed and a raid was carried out at the location. Seven people — Anand Rana, Santosh Rajput, Tony Rathore, Chaganlal Lodha, Dilip Pawar, Akash Naik, and Sajid Khan — were found betting with numbers at the spot. Of them, Sajid Khan managed to flee the place, while the remaining six were arrested and issued notices under section 35 of BNSS. They were later released after furnishing personal bonds.
