Indore: Many schools went the extra mile to help students to achieve above 90% marks in class 12 CBSE result which were declared on Saturday. While some schools focused on finishing off the syllabus early, others preferred providing extra classes to the students facing difficulty in some subjects.
Shri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar is one such schools where Shreeya Jain from the mathematics stream scored 96.2% marks along with many other students scoring more than 90% marks.
Principal of Shri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Punita Nehru shared her secrets of attainting good results. She said "It's because of the combined efforts of the teachers and students that the school attained an overall 100% passing rate this year. The teachers made sure that if the students were facing any difficulty in understanding a particular topic, the topic was explained to the child then and there again."
"Focusing on every child's individual performance according to their capabilities also helped. We planned batch wise strategy for the students as every child needs a different approach," she added.
The weak students were never sidelined and were given extra attention by the teachers. Teachers also took these students to their homes for giving extra time to these students, said the principal.
Likewise students of Delhi Public School also came out with flying colours as Atharva Lokre from the school scored 96.8% from commerce stream. School headmistress, Asha Nair shared their method of teaching the students.
She said "We made sure that the syllabus was completed till November so that the students have the rest of the months to revise. Students were also asked to avoid coaching institutes and study at school for extra time, even the parents supported us for this discussion."
"Tests were taken at regular intervals after which the answersheets were given to the students so that they can check themselves. The students got an idea of where they were going wrong and where they need to improve," Nair added.
Students of The Emerald Heights International School also brought laurels to the schools with high scores as 45 students scored above 90% marks from the school.
Academic coordinator from the school, Nisha Ahmad shared the reason of their success. "We start the classes for class XII early in the month of January which gives the students a lot of time to focus on each subject. Three pre-boards were also taken for the students to practice better for the board exam." said Ahmad.
However, students from various other schools from the city achieved high scores.
