42nd Rajasthan state-level bridge tournament: Rajputana beat Marudhara Bikana to win title of Team of Four Duplicate event

Jaipur: Rajputana team won the title of Team of Four Duplicate event in the 42nd state-level bridge competition which concluded at Jaipur Club here on Sunday.The Rajputana team defeated Marudhara Bikana by 64-59 points in a nail-biting final. Earlier in the semi-finals, Rajputana trounced Desert Warriors by 11 points to make it to the final.In the second semis, Marudhara Bikana defeated Jaipur Pride by 16 points to enter the final. The champion Rajputana team comprised KP Mathur, Anand Toshniwal, Puneet Gangal, Dr SK Sharma, Rajendra Kumar and NK Sharma.The runner-up Marudhara Bikana outfit consisted of Pradeep Govil, MM Mundhra, RK Arora, Ibrat Khan, Surendra Singh and Narendra Singh.Tournament director NK Sharma said the pair of Anand Toshniwal and Rajendra Kumar won the Master Pairs event with a score of 95.5. Gajendra Vyas and DM Mehta were runners-up with a score of 87.5.
