“I feel happy to be back home. I am coming home after a month. But I have to cut this trip short as the coming two years are extremely important for me. I have won the quota for 2020 Tokyo Olympics and it’s time for me to practise hard. It is a matter of great pride to represent India in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics,” said Apurvi.

Her father said, “I feel great to see her. But she has come only for a few days as she has to prepare for her forthcoming championships.” Apurvi’s mother Bindu shared, “She made us proud by winning the medal at the Asian Games 2018. She also performed well at the ISSF Shooting World Championship in Korea. Winning the quota for 2020 Tokyo Olympics is the cherry on the cake. We hope the best for her.”
