Dangawas case: Two more accused surrender

Two more accused, who were wanted in Dangawas case, surrendered in Merta city court on Monday. They were sent to judicial custody. However, seven accused are still at large. In all, there are 40 accused in the case which CBI had investigated and chargesheeted.

AJMER: Two more accused, who were wanted in Dangawas case, surrendered in Merta city court on Monday. They were sent to judicial custody. However, seven accused are still at large. In all, there are 40 accused in the case which CBI had investigated and chargesheeted.
According to advocate of victims, Abharam Makan (72) and Chootarram (48) surrendered in the court on Monday.

Similarly, Praveen Jhakar (34) also surrounded in the court on Saturday.
Posters were pasted in Dangawas and other villages of Merta city by the CBI and it is also sent to different police stations to know about the whereabouts of these accused. CBI started investigation in Dangawas matter from June 2, 2015.
Six Dalits were killed and several others injured due to clashes between two communities in Dangawas in May, 2015. Considering the sensitivity of the case, the state government handed over the case to CID and later to CBI.
