JMC removes encroachments across Jaipur

Jaipur: The vigilance squad of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) Wednesday carried out a drive targeting temporary encroachments in various areas across the city.

According to officials, measures were implemented at several key locations, including Tonk Road, RUHS campus, Pratap Nagar Chaupati, Mahal Road, Satkar Shopping Center, Meghdhan Shopping Center, Khaitan Tower (in Vidyadhar Nagar), Dhanashree Apartments (in Vidyadhar Nagar), Manipal Hospital, the area under the Jhotwara Flyover, and Bajrang Colony in Jhotwara.

“During the drive, goods equivalent to five Canter truckloads were seized, and ‘carrying charges’ amounting to Rs 19,500 were collected from the encroachers. We have removed the temporary encroachments and warned that repeat offenders would face heavy penalties and stricter enforcement action.,” an official said.
