Jaipur:
ABVP, on Thursday, raised concerns about a female student allegedly being harassed by examination staff at the campus during a supplementary exam.
ABVP said they raised the issue with vice-chancellor Alpana Kateja.
Sources said the officials in charge of the supplementary examination tried to speak to the student to avoid an official complaint. However, upon learning about the incident, the vice-chancellor took strict action.
Bharat Bhushan, an ABVP member, said, "We complained to the vice-chancellor as the campus should be a safe place for students. If a girl is being harassed during exams, then it is a grave issue. On our complaint, the vice-chancellor took quick action and suspended the three contractual staff deployed for invigilation duty."
Speaking on the issue, student body NSUI claimed due to the incident, the student could not complete the exam.
Rajesh Punia, centre superintendent of PG School of Humanities, where the exam was underway, did not respond to calls.
