Robert F Kennedy Jr's potential position in the Trump administration continued to evolve, as former President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he envisions Kennedy working on health issues, with a focus on women’s health.

During a campaign event in Henderson, Nevada, Trump told supporters, “He’s going to work on health and women’s health and all of the different reasons.”

Trump has previously discussed appointing Kennedy to roles related to health and food, despite Kennedy’s controversial stance on vaccines. Trump also humorously suggested keeping Kennedy away from issues like petroleum, as Kennedy has been vocal about his opposition to fracking and petroleum extraction.

A judge has mandated Arizona's secretary of state Adrian Fontes to release a list of registered voters who, due to a computer glitch, may not have provided the required proof of citizenship, a court filing revealed on Thursday.

This decision came after a lawsuit by America First Legal, a conservative group, was filed when Fontes’ office denied their public records request.

The glitch, which impacted around 218,000 voters, has sparked concerns as Arizona is a crucial battleground state in the upcoming US election, which sees a tight contest between Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican former President Donald Trump.

Fontes’ office had argued that releasing the names could expose individuals to threats or harassment.

Georgia secretary of state Brad Raffensperger's office said on Thursday that there was "targeted disinformation" circulating online related to the US elections that was likely a result of "foreign interference attempting to sow discord and chaos."

"Earlier today, our office became aware of a video purporting to show a Haitian immigrant with multiple Georgia ID's claiming to have voted multiple times," the office said in a statement.

"This is false, and is an example of targeted disinformation we've seen this election. It is likely foreign interference attempting to sow discord and chaos on the eve of the election."

Donald Trump is expected to visit Dearborn, Michigan, on Friday, the nation’s largest Arab-majority city, amid growing discontent among local residents over President Joe Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict.

A local business owner, who will host Trump during his visit, reportedly demanded that the former president first issue a call for peace in Lebanon.

Dearborn, located within Metro Detroit, has a significant Arab American population, part of the largest concentration in the country.

In the 2020 presidential election, Biden won Dearborn by a 3-to-1 margin. However, Biden’s administration has faced increasing criticism from Dearborn’s residents over its stance and actions regarding the conflict in the Middle East, intensifying political divisions in the area.

Donald Trump has initiated a $10 billion lawsuit against CBS News, alleging that the network engaged in "deceptive conduct" aimed at interfering with elections during its interview with Vice President Kamala Harris.

The legal action was first reported by Fox News Digital.

The legal team representing Trump filed the complaint, citing "CBS' partisan and unlawful acts of election and voter interference through malicious, deceptive, and substantial news distortion calculated to confuse, deceive, and mislead the public."

The crowd-sourced fact-checking feature of Elon Musk's X, Community Notes, is not countering false claims about the US election, the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) said in a report on Wednesday.

Of the 283 misleading X posts that CCDH analysed, 209, or 74% of the posts, did not show accurate notes to all X users correcting false and misleading claims about the elections, the report said.

"The 209 misleading posts in our sample that did not display available Community Notes to all users have amassed 2.2 billion views," CCDH said.

With five days left for the election as many polls are leaning towards Donald Trump, American University professor Dr Allan Lichtman, called the election Nostradamus because of his track record of perfect prediction, said he will not change his forecast that Kamala Harris will win the election. The prediction was made on September 5, before the ABC News debate and Litchman said "nothing has changed to change my prediction". During a livestream Tuesday, he said he's anxious, more anxious not because of the polls but primarily because he's worried about the future of this country.

Democrat Harris leads Trump by 48% to 43% among likely voters in Michigan and by 51% to 45% in Wisconsin, two of three battleground states nicknamed the "blue wall" after helping President Joe Biden defeat Trump in 2020.

In the third "blue wall" state, Pennsylvania, the CNN poll showed Harris and Trump tied at 48%. Pennsylvania's 19 electoral votes make it among the bigger prizes in the battle for the White House.

Interviews were conducted Oct. 23-28 online and by telephone with 726 likely voters in Michigan, 819 in Pennsylvania and 736 in Wisconsin, CNN said. The margin of error was plus or minus 5 percentage points, it said.
