Jammu: A BSF head constable on naka (checkpoint) duty died after his service rifle accidentally went off in Nowshera area of
Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Monday.
“Head Constable Satya Narayan Swami was killed on the spot,” said an official, adding that the body would be handed over to the deceased’s kin after medico-legal procedures.
Local police registered a case and initiated an investigation. tnn
