Kanpur: The Kanpur Cricket Association (KCA) has imposed an immediate ban on 13 cricketers for participating in unofficial cricket tournaments. According to secretary of KCA, Kaushal Kumar Singh these players were engaging in unaffiliated tournaments despite the explicit warning issued by the association. Consequently, they will be barred from participating in the KDMA league and any knockout tournaments organized by the KCA. This action follows a previous instance where the KCA banned 87 cricketers under similar charges.
The list of banned cricketers includes Wasim Khan (Kanpur South), Vikas Agnihotri (Kherapati), Himanshu Shukla (BL club), Navneet Yadav (PAC), Asif Ammar, Mohd Nabi (both from Riders), Manindar (Ashoka Jyoti), Aviral Rawat (Avro), Rajeev Bhatia (Veenus), Anivesh Singh (Kanpur Grand), Abhay Yadav (Wanders), Rinku Kushwaha, and Akarshan Shukla (both from Kanpur Cricketers).
