Kanpur: The annual cultural festival of IIT Kanpur, Antaragni starts on 17th to 20th Oct. This year, Antaragni presents an exciting new theme, ‘A Syncretic Jaunt,' embarking on a global cultural journey that celebrates the convergence of diverse traditions, art, and music from across continents.
The festival kicks off on the 17th, setting the stage for days of excitement. Antaragni's flagship event, Ritambhara prelims, will offer a dazzling display of fashion, followed by Rock Night, a high-octane musical experience that will electrify the audience. On the 18th, Amogh Lila Das will host the India Inspired event with a motivational session, while a thought-provoking discussion titled "Cinema: Merely a Tool for Entertainment or One for Social Change?", featuring personalities like Atul Tiwari, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Suhail Tatari, and Meghna Malik, will dive into the transformative power of film.
Comedy Night promises plenty of laughs, while Yusuf Nizami's Qawwali will offer a soul-stirring musical experience. The 18th concludes with an EDM night, followed by a Classical Night featuring Aniruddh Verma Collective's raga-filled performance. On the 19th, Professors Nisheeth Srivastava and Arnab Bhattacharya from IIT-Kanpur will lead a session on Technological Innovations in Indian languages.
