Kanpur: Special expenses observer B
Murli on Wednesday asked all FST and
GST teams to become active round-the-clock and take effective steps in their respective assembly constituencies for free and fair voting in the forthcoming election.
At a meeting held at the Circuit House, Murli told the GST official that Kanpur being a big city, goods were transported in large numbers, therefore, their responsibility too increased.
The department should keep a tab on goods coming from other cities because there are chances that posters, banners, flags, and other election material can also be transported. The teams have to keep a vigil on goods transported by rail and road, he said.
The special observer directed the officials to keep a special vigil in all ten assembly seats of the district and try to locate big transactions in banks. If they come across any big transaction, they should inform the income tax department about it.
Murli Kumar has directed the banks to provide information of big transactions taking place in their branches to the income tax department daily. They should keep a tab on accounts of all candidates in all the ten assembly seats.
