2 in net for unnatural sex with 14-year-old in Kerala's town

KOCHI: Mulanthuruthy police on Thursday arrested two men for engaging in unnatural sex with a minor boy.
One more person, who is also believed to have abused the boy, is absconding.
The arrested men have been identified as Puthukkulangara Veetil Balan (44) and Joy alias Yohannan Athikkanirappel (52), both hailing from Kaippattoor.
According to police, the three men used to abuse the 14-year-old after sedating him with drugs.The abuse had been going on for the last two months. The incident came to light when the boy's parents questioned him when he began to get physically unwell and showed symptoms of depression.
It is learnt that the accused, Joy, provided all facilities to other abusers. Police suspect the involvement of more persons in the incident.
The drug abuse has also disturbed the boy's mental wellness. Police suspect that the boy may reveal more details during counseling.
The arrested were produced before the magistrate and remanded for a fortnight.
