Aid sought for screenwriter John Paul’s treatment

Kochi: Noted screenwriter John Paul has been in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital for the past two months. With Paul’s family facing financial woes and struggling to pay the hospital bills, his friends and well-wishers have come up with a request for donation from the public to mobilise funds for his treatment. Paul has been suffering from various illnesses, including respiratory disease.On Wednesday, his friends and well-wishers came up with a post on WhatsApp seeking support.
Literary critics MK Sanoo and M Thomas Mathew, Fr Thomas Puthussery, director, Chavara Cultural Centre, filmmaker M Mohan, CICC Jayachandran of Maharajas Old Students Association, P Ramachandran of Ernakulam Karayogam, advocate Manu Roy, CG Rajagopal, Johnson C Abraham and Thanooja Bhattathiri were among those who have sought the public’s help.
