Around 10 houses damaged in rain

Kochi: Ernakulam witnessed significant damage due to heavy summer rain and wind lashing across district on Tuesday. Around 10 houses were partially destroyed across various taluks.In Kothamangalam taluk, four houses were partially damaged due to strong winds and rain. In different parts of Muvattupuzha taluk and within Kochi city limits, two houses each were damaged. In Tripunithura, two houses were partially destroyed. Tree branches fell on a car parked near Tripunithura Metro station. Authorities advised the public to remain vigilant as summer rains are expected to continue in the district in the coming days.
