Kerala went to the polls on Tuesday to elect its 15th legislative assembly, registering a turnout of 74.2% that fell 2.8% short of the last assembly elections in 2016 (77.35%), which election commission sources attributed to the Covid-19 situation. Polling in Wayanad district to end at 6pm
Voters in Wayanad, except those who are Covid-19 positive, have been urged to cast their votes before 5pm considering the ‘Naxalite threat’ to the district.
