Kochi: SamaBhav 2025, a travelling international film festival, will be held from Monday to Wednesday at Neo Film School. The festival will focus on gender equity, diversity and inclusion and will include workshops, discussions and screenings of cinema related to these themes.
On the first day, a workshop by Lakshmi Lingam on ‘lights, camera, inequality' will be held at 9am. It will be followed by a talk by Deepa Gahlot on ‘framing men, blurring women'. The post-noon session will discuss ‘Kerala family and toxic masculinity' by Yacob Thomas and ‘eliminate, erase, evade' by Jolly Chirayath.
The event is being jointly hosted by Neo Film School in collaboration with Men Against Violence and Abuse (MAVA).
