Kolhapur: Commerce student from Shantiniketan Junior College Aditya Amardeep Patil, who scored 97%, has topped in the Standard XII CBSE exams at his institute, the results of which were declared on Wednesday.
Swaroop Sanjay Kadam, came second in the college with 96%, followed by Chavi Kamal Mittal with 95.6% marks. Both are commerce students as well.
"I decided to take commerce and become a Chartered Accountant when I was in school. I topped my school in Standard X. I played cricket for my school, but for the past two years, I have stopped and have been focusing on my studies," said Aditya, who is son of Amardeep Patil, the president of Kolhapur's Advertising Agencies and Media Association (AASMA).
From the same college, Anisha Kishan Poptani, a science student, scored 92.4%, followed by Aarya Abhijit Deshpande with 91.2% and Sana Maria Santosh with 90.2%.
In the Arts stream, Yasholaxmi Bharatveersingh Deora scored 90.2%, followed by Diya Ravi Ahuja with 89.6% and Medha Rajesh Latkar passed with 88.2% marks.
Jayashri Jadhav, the principal of the college, said that personal attention towards the students by the teachers helped them score well.
