Encroachments removed outside Tala Park

Kolkata: Encroachments outside Tala Park were removed with payloaders on Saturday. The operation was carried out in the presence of local Cossipore-Belgachhia MLA Ritesh Tiwari. On Monday, a high-level delegation visited Kashipur Ghat, and officials indicated that illegal occupation there would also be removed shortly.

Tiwari said, “During the election campaign, I promised these areas would be freed from illegal occupation by Bangladeshi infiltrators. One step has already been taken with the removal of illegal occupation by Bangladeshi infiltrators from the Tala Jheel Park area, which I also promised during the election campaign and initiated. The previous govt did not do anything. Local residents cooperated with us to make this effort successful.”

He also said that illegal encroachment in the Kashipur Ghat area would be removed shortly. “I am confident that, following all govt regulations and due legal procedures, these areas will be cleared of illegal encroachments very soon. We remain committed to ensuring the development, security and welfare of local residents.”
