Visva Bharati varsity launches website

ASANSOL: Visva- Bharati University has officially launched its own website (www.visva-bharati.com) on the death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore on Thursday.
Visva-Bharati vice chancellor Sujit Kumar Basu, told reporters that students can get access to information about the university on the Net.
He said that very soon other facilities like admission forms can be available from this website.The site is developed and maintained by Consortium of Associates of Visva- Bharati.
Basu confirmed that job vacancies will also be displayed on the website. Plans for designing more websites are in the pip-eline. These include Kala Bhavan and Sangeet Bhavan.
The Visva-Bharati website has posted a number of photographs. In a historic move, the university replaced the bell which had been missing for 22 years.
Jaya Ghosh, the widow of Santideb Ghosh launched a CD comprising 17 songs of Rabindranath.
