Actor Ismail and friend killed in road accident in Kannur

Kannur: Film actor Ismail and his friend were killed after a speeding car ran over them at Kannavam in Kannur on Tuesday. The 52-year-old actor was walking along the road with his friend Sajeesh (52) when the accident took place. A speeding car from Peravoor side lost control and hit the duo. The impact of the accident was so severe that both of them died on the spot. The vehicle later came to a halt after ramming a CCTV camera post. Ismail was a noted Malayalam film actor who was known for his role in ‘Albhutha Dweep' (2009). Sajeesh used to run a tyre repair shop. Kannavam police registered a case in the incident and launched an investigation, The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to Kannur medical college mortuary for postmortem examination.
