Kozhikode: Congress leader and Karnataka deputy chief minister
D K Shivakumar alleged that there was a nexus between LDF and BJP in Kerala. He also said that UDF will secure two-third majority in the upcoming assembly elections.
Shivakumar, who led roadshows in Kannur constituency and later in various constituencies in Kozhikode on Sunday said that while the BJP-led central govt was using enforcement directorate (ED) and other central agencies to target opposition leaders, they were not taking any action against LDF leaders involved in various cases in Kerala.
"Even though there are so many cases, including gold theft case and smuggling case, in the state, why are they not resorting to the kind of action which we are seeing in other states. They are only targeting their political enemies and supporting their allies. I think that LDF is also in their alliance," he added.
He said that the people of Kerala are seeking change, development, solutions to unemployment, and justice for Lord Ayyappa devotees.
He said that the central govt has not instituted a probe by CBI in the Sabarimala gold theft case because of the unofficial partnership between CPM and BJP.
